University of Beer

University of Beer is a craft beer bar & kitchen featuring 40 carefully selected craft beers. The restaurant has a bustling vibe that attracts college students looking for good beer.  My client came to me in search of a wall design that would add to the lively atmosphere and he gave me full creative freedom. Since beer is at the heart of the company, I knew from the first sketches that I wanted the centerpiece to be flowing, foamy beer with geometric wooden shapes making up the massive pint glass. Who wouldn’t want to order a beer after seeing this?

Clean & minimal

Sage Float Spa

My client had a tight space and a blank wall. She wanted to add some character to her waiting room without it being overwhelming. I designed her a wall that would give depth and dimension to the space while also being minimalistic and gentle on the eyes.

Location: Sage Float Spa, Capitola, CA.
Dimensions: 12′ x 9′
Materials: Pine wood

Family Roots

The Lumber Baron

The Lumber Baron is a family-owned and operated lumber yard. The owner wanted a wall that showcased the wood that he sold in the yard and he wanted a design that represented his strong family values. After several drafts and mockups we chose to go with a redwood tree and its roots.

Location: The Lumber Baron, Richmond, Ca.
Dimensions: 6′ x 12′
Materials: Reclaimed wood

Rustic & Magestic

Sunchild’s Parlour

This wooden majestic mountain scene is at the front of the store by the windows and it does a wonderful job at luring in passersby. This wall design adds a unique rustic feel to the vintage clothing store and helps them stick out amongst the other boutique shops in downtown Grass Valley.

Location: Sunchild’s Parlour in Grass Valley, Ca.
Dimensions: 10′ x 10′

Install Day

The wall is built in sections at my woodshop so that it can be transported easily to its final location. On install day it’s as smooth as putting together a large puzzle, a very satisfying puzzle.
